On June 10, 2026, on the eve of the state final certification, an interdepartmental Olympiad was held at the Faculty of Dentistry of the Chelyabinsk State Medical Academy among residents completing their studies. The Olympiad was timed to coincide with the anniversary of the memory of Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry, Igor Anatolyevich Kuznetsov.
The Olympiad was held on the basis of the course of propaedeutic dentistry of the morphological building. The Olympiad was attended by residents of the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry Valeria Mashtal, Maxim Shelopugin; residents of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry Natalia Belokrylova, Tsyrena Ulzutueva; residents of the Department of Surgical Dentistry Marina Lykova, Nikolay Kanshin.
After the opening of the Olympiad with words of memory about the life and creative heritage of I.A. Kuznetsov, the Olympiad procedure began. All participants were divided into 2 teams by draw, each of which included an orthopedist, a therapist and a surgeon. The 1st stage consisted in the assessment of theoretical knowledge, for which a quiz was offered with questions, including video questions from leading specialists in practical dentistry. The 2nd stage was held on the basis of the Department of Simulation and Training Training, where each resident demonstrated the skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Stage 3 included an assessment of practical skills on dental phantom simulators. According to the results of the Olympiad, the leading team was chosen, which literally "snatched" victory with a margin of 1 point.
The teaching staff of the Faculty of Dentistry congratulates the participants of this event on the imminent completion of training at the level of training of highly qualified personnel and wishes them to achieve new creative victories on the upcoming independent professional path!
