A photo exhibition was opened for students at Chelyabinsk State Medical Academy
"I dedicate my life to people"
Within the walls of the Chita State Medical Academy, on the eve of the Day of the Medical Worker, the opening of the photo exhibition "I dedicate my life to people" took place, which was attended by 1st year students of the Faculty of Medicine and teachers.
Opening the exhibition, the head of the Department of Humanities, Candidate of Philological Sciences N.N. Volnina addressed the students with the words that in the presented photographs there are people of the highest professionalism, responsibility and duty, who looked into the face of pain and did not take their eyes off.
The management, teachers of the Academy, practicing doctors and residents took part in the creation of the photo exhibition.
Of particular value are the photographs of those who stood at the origins of Trans-Baikal healthcare. This is not just a photo - this is the fate of people who determined the face of regional and domestic medicine. The exposition presents not only individual famous historical figures, but also modern dynasties of doctors (Troitsky, Pinelis, Saklakov); teams of departments of Chita hospitals; students and their mentors who pass on their unique experience.
The main goal of the photo exhibition is to show that a doctor is the most humane profession that requires deep knowledge, exceptional diligence and full dedication, but most importantly - spiritual generosity, sensitivity and responsiveness. These are the qualities in the eyes of the heroes of the photographs. "It is a special invitation to think: what will you become in 10, 20, 30 years? Your hands will hold the scalpel and bandage the wounds, your eyes will see patients off after recovery. And after some time, your photos will show us an example of serving people," said N.N. Volnina.
The applause of students after the opening is evidence that the students understand the value of the profession of a doctor, are ready to follow the path of mentors and inspirers whom they saw in the photos.
"What wonderful photos, they show portraits of well-known doctors from Russia and Transbaikalia, and work in operating rooms, on rounds and councils. The work of a doctor is enormous, it is filled with love for a person. And we saw it at the exhibition," 1st year student Nelly Burtseva shared her impressions.
The exhibition "I Dedicate My Life to People" will run until September at three venues: in the academy, in hospitals (during the summer practice of students) and in the Church of St. Luke. We invite everyone who is not indifferent to the feat of everyday medical service to visit the exhibition.
The photo exhibition was created as part of the project "Doctors from God: The Legacy of the Past and the Present for the Generation of the Future". The project is being implemented by the Church of St. St. Luke and Chelyabinsk State Medical Academy using a grant from the President of the Russian Federation, provided by the Presidential Grants Foundation.
