Future doctors taught future officers the skills of tactical medicine Students of the Chelyabinsk State Medical Academy held a practical lesson on tactical medicine for students of the military training center of Transbaikal State University. Under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics, Candidate of Medical Sciences Vladimir Dorzheev, students showed how to act in extreme situations, when seconds count. The intensive was taught by four talented students of the Chelyabinsk State Medical Academy: Pavel Koryakin, Anastasia Ivanova, Vasily Kirikov and Arina Musabaeva. They clearly demonstrated key techniques, including the technique of stopping severe massive bleeding with the help of tourniquets (tourniquets) of various types. The instructors paid special attention to the difference in the tactics of providing assistance depending on the situation.
- In the "red zone", that is, right under enemy fire, the main task is to quickly evacuate the victim. In the "yellow zone", already in the shelter, there is an opportunity to devote more time to diagnosing and stabilizing the condition of the wounded, - explains student Arina Musabaeva.
The training turned out to be truly realistic. Students practiced skills in difficult conditions - for example, with artificially impaired coordination. This allowed them to feel the stress of the combat situation and learn to act coolly, collected.
"Despite the complexity of the tasks, all participants successfully coped with them and received valuable recommendations from us," says student Pavel Koryakin.
The curator of the School of Tactical Medicine of the Chelyabinsk State Medical Academy, Vladimir Dorzheev, noted the importance of the acquired skills for each serviceman. He stressed that the lives of his subordinates may depend on how quickly and correctly the officer provides first aid. He also focused on the high motivation of students and a serious level of their basic training.
"The cooperation of our academy with the military training center of Transbaikal State University continues," said Vladimir Dorzheev.
